  • Wonderful experience with this company. I had them sod my entire property and clean up my flowerbeds. Price was reasonable and the workers showed up on the dates and times provided by the owner. Workers were polite and carefully worked...

  • Soren from 4 Seasons was very professional, and clearly knew what he was talking about. By the end of their work on my house, neighbours were asking to get in touch with them because of the quality of service and exemplified hard work. I'd highly recommend them and guarantee you won't be disappointed.

  • 4 Seasons did a great job refreshing our garden beds, they were completely overgrown and full of weeds. It was very easy working with them, from the quote inquiry to the execution, it was all quick and efficient.

Overview

What this work involves

Sod installation in Brantford is often sold as rolling out green carpet. It is not. New sod arrives with roots cut short, so what happens under it decides whether it knits in or dies in strips.

We assess and prepare the base: removing failing turf, breaking up compaction, adding or amending topsoil where it is too thin, and grading so water leaves the lawn instead of pooling. Then sod goes down tight, with staggered seams and rolled edges.

For lawns that are salvageable, overseeding and topdressing are usually the better spend. We will tell you honestly which one your lawn needs — replacing turf that could have been repaired is wasted money, and seeding compacted clay is wasted money too.

What's Included

Included in every job

  • Honest assessment first

Repair or replace — we tell you which your lawn actually needs before quoting.

  • Compaction relief

Hard, compacted soil is broken up so roots can get down instead of sitting on the surface.

  • Topsoil where it is thin

Builder lots often have almost no topsoil. We add proper depth before turf goes down.

  • Grading for drainage

Low spots corrected so water leaves the lawn rather than sitting and killing turf.

  • Tight sod installation

Staggered seams, rolled edges and full contact with the soil beneath.

  • Clear watering plan

You get straightforward instructions for the critical first three weeks.
